Working out the going rate for a VA in Texas isn't always straightforward, since rates stretch from a few dollars an hour to well over $40, depending on the scope of work.

Virtual assistants based outside the U.S. typically run $5 to $15 an hour, U.S.-based assistants usually land between $15 and $35 an hour, and experienced executive assistants can run well above $25/hr. The rate mostly comes down to location and how specialized the work is.

One thing worth factoring in is whether you're going through a marketplace or hiring through a dedicated placement agency. The hourly rate looks lower going direct, but you take on the screening, training, and backup coverage yourself.
